Learn the Basics

New to Nia?

While it is perfectly fine to pop into a class – even if you have never danced or done a fitness class before – it can be helpful to have some extra time to learn about the fundamentals of this dynamic dance fusion practice.

By learning the basics you will be able to more quickly maximize the benefits of your workouts – even when you’re doing something other than Nia!

In this workshop we’ll go over:

  • How Nia came to be
  • Principles of Nia
  • What makes Nia unique
  • Basic Moves
  • 7 Cycles

Then, we’ll finish up with a beginning level workout to get some practice

$10 pre-registered by 10/28 or $12 at the door.

This group meets for 16 sessions. We will be taking a break for the Christmas/New Years holidays.

Tuition for the class:

  • $375 ($25 per session – includes one free session if paid in full prior to first day of class) or
  • 2 payments of $200 ($200 to register and $200 due by December 13, 2017).

Developing a regular habit of engaging in mindfulness practices can help you stay grounded and feeling less stressed – even when you’re in a traffic jam, dealing with troubles at work, or experiencing a disagreement with a family member.

There are many simple yet powerful techniques that help develop the skills to remain calm in any circumstances.

In this class we’ll be learning and practicing several options to help you thrive in our ever more complicated world.

Working with the Nia 5 Stages process and drawing from more than 25 years of experience in working with people to tap into their deeper levels of knowing, we will take a journey together that will help you recognize and acknowledge your body’s language of sensation.

By becoming more self-aware in this way, you can use this information to guide your life choices.

You can also use this information to heal – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
